Description
The fire orb is a magic orb powered by fire magic in RuneScape 3. It glows with fire energy and is a key item for crafting. This item is members only and tradeable.
The main use for a fire orb is making a fire battlestaff. With level 62 Crafting, attach the orb to a battlestaff to create one. This gives 125 Crafting experience. The fire battlestaff is a stronger version of the staff of fire, so many players want these orbs for training or making staves to sell.
Making fire orbs yourself takes work. You need level 63 Magic to cast Charge Fire Orb, plus 30 fire runes and 3 cosmic runes per orb. The spell must be cast at the Obelisk of Fire, which sits deep inside Taverley Dungeon past dangerous monsters. Getting there without high Agility or Dungeoneering levels means a long trip through the whole dungeon.
Buying fire orbs skips all of that. Skip the runes, the spell casting, and the dungeon runs. Get your orbs and start crafting fire battlestaves right away. This is a fast way to train Crafting or stock up on staves.
