The gold ring is a basic piece of jewellery in RuneScape 3. Players make it by using a gold bar with a ring mould on a furnace. Making one needs level 5 Crafting and gives 15 Crafting experience. This makes it a simple way to train the first few Crafting levels.
The gold ring fits in the ring slot of the equipment interface. It has no combat stats, with 0 damage, 0 accuracy, 0 armour, and 0 prayer bonus. It can be enchanted into a gold ring (i) at Soul Wars for 5 zeal, which gives a small defence bonus.
Gold rings have real uses in the game. They are the tertiary ingredient for infusing magpie pouches in Summoning, and they show up in some Treasure Trails clues. After the quest Summer's End, the Rogue will always buy gold rings for 140 coins each, which is more than the store price of 105 coins.
The ring weighs 0.004 kg. It is tradeable, equipable, noteable, and disassemblable, but it does not stack. It can also be found in bird's nests and as a reward from the Pirate's Treasure quest casket.
