The Greater Death's Swiftness ability codex is a members-only item in RuneScape 3. When you read it, you unlock Greater Death's Swiftness. This is an upgraded version of the Death's Swiftness ability. You need level 76 Ranged to use it.

Greater Death's Swiftness is a Ranged Ultimate ability. It costs 100% adrenaline and has a 60 second cooldown. When you use it, your Ranged attacks deal 1.5x damage. The ability lasts 37.8 seconds. That is 11 ticks longer than the normal version. This means more time to deal big damage in fights. The ability does not gain extra time from the Planted Feet perk.

The codex is tradeable and noteable, and it can be disassembled. You always keep it on death outside dangerous areas. Players can also make it with the Invention skill at level 85. This takes a Codex of lost knowledge and 20 Cywir components, and it gives 10,000 Invention experience.

This codex is a strong pick for any Ranged player who wants more damage. It is a key upgrade for bossing and high-level combat where every hit counts.
