Description

Impious ashes are a Prayer training item in RuneScape 3. They are a heap of ashes from a demon minion. Players scatter them to gain Prayer experience or use them to make incense sticks.

Each set of ashes gives 4 Prayer XP when scattered. Offering them at a gilded altar or Chaos Temple gives 14 XP, and the ectofuntus gives 16 XP. If a prayer urn is in the inventory, the ashes go into the urn on their own, which raises the XP per ashes to 4.8. Each one fills an impious urn by 4 percent.

Impious ashes are not members-only, so free players can use them to train Prayer. Before these ashes came out, free players could only bury bones for Prayer XP. The ashes drop every time from icefiends, imps, killerwatts, pyrefiends, and spellwisps.

These ashes can also craft impious incense sticks, impious oak incense sticks, and impious willow incense sticks. They can be disassembled for materials like organic parts, ethereal components, and pious components. The item is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to buy, sell, and store in bulk.
