Description

The RS3 Iron chainbody + 1 is an upgraded version of the iron chainbody. The iron chainbody is tier 10 melee body armour in RuneScape 3. You need level 10 Defence to wear it. It is tank armour, so it helps you take less damage in melee fights.

Players can make an iron chainbody at a forge and anvil with 5 iron bars. Making it takes 1,000 progress and gives 200 Smithing experience. To turn it into an iron chainbody + 1, you add another 5 iron bars. This makes it a solid pick for low level players who want better protection early in the game.

The base iron chainbody has 46.4 armour and gives a 150 life points bonus. It also has a small damage reduction of 0.2% against monsters and 0.6% against other players. There is no prayer bonus.

The iron chainbody has another fun use. If you wear it with a bronze med helm, you can enter the Black Knights' Fortress dressed as a guard. It can also be broken down for melee armour materials like plated parts and protective components.
