Description
Karil's coif is a ranged helmet from RuneScape 3. It is part of Karil the Tainted's Barrows set. To wear it, a player needs level 70 Defence and level 70 Ranged.
The coif is tier 70 tank armour for the head slot. It gives 297.2 armour and a life point bonus of 700. It also cuts damage by 1.4% against monsters and 2.625% against players. This makes it a solid pick for ranged players who want to stay alive longer in tough fights.
Wearing all four pieces of Karil's set unlocks the Karil's Taint bonus. Ranged attacks then have a chance to lower the target's Magic level. This works in player killing and against normal monsters. With an amulet of the forsaken and a non-golden set, the set can also cut the enemy's magic damage by 10%.
The coif degrades as it is used. It lasts for 100,000 charges of combat, and it works at full power the whole time. When it runs out, it can be repaired by an NPC or at an armour stand in a player-owned house. Repair costs less with a higher Smithing level.
