Description
Kelp is a members item in RuneScape 3. Players get it by harvesting kelp plants placed in an aquarium. Up to 5 kelp plants can grow in one aquarium, and each harvest also gives Farming experience. A few kelp spawns can also be found in the Temple of Aminishi near Ahoeitu the Chef.
The main use for kelp is making sushi. It works with the prawn perks from the Prawnbroker. At level 91 Cooking, players can combine kelp with a raw great white shark to make great gunkan. This makes kelp a handy item for anyone training Cooking or working toward high level food.
Kelp is tradeable and can be turned into a note, so it is easy to store and move around. It weighs almost nothing at 0.01 kg. Kelp can also be disassembled for Invention. It has a high junk chance of 98.9 percent, and it gives Simple parts most of the time, with a rare chance of Variable components.
