Description

The lean snail is a raw food item in RuneScape 3. It is the slimy corpse of a giant snail and weighs 2 kg. It is a members item. When raw, it looks like a thin snail. When cooked, it turns deep red and becomes lean snail meat.

Cooking a lean snail needs level 17 Cooking and a range or fire. It gives 80 Cooking experience. Players almost never eat it as food because it heals very little for its price.

The lean snail has a right-click Grind option. Grinding it makes Blamish snail slime, which is used to make Blamish oil for the Heroes' Quest. You must have an empty sample bottle in your inventory to collect the slime. A pestle and mortar with a sample bottle also works.

Cooked lean snail can be fed to your follower in Temple Trekking and Burgh de Rott Ramble. The meat is also used to feed owls in the Housing of Parliament quest.

Bark Blamish Snails always drop lean snails. Ghasts, Undead Lumberjacks, and Mort'ton locals drop them too. Disassembling one gives mostly Organic parts.
