Description
Limestone is a raw material in RuneScape 3. It is used in Crafting, Divination, and quests. Players mine it from limestone rocks with level 10 Mining, or buy it from Razmire Keelgan's builders store in Mort'ton for 10 coins each.
The main use for limestone is making limestone bricks. With level 12 Crafting and a chisel, each stone can be cut into a brick for 6 Crafting experience. The cut can fail and leave a plain rock, but at level 40 Crafting it never fails. Limestone bricks are important for training Construction.
Limestone has other uses too. In the Regicide quest, it is needed to make quicklime for a barrel bomb. In Divination, it is used with pale, bright, or glowing energy to make signs of respite I, II, and III.
Mining limestone can be slow. Rocks sit at the Arandar Pass mine, the Silvarea quarry, and the Wendlewick Limestone Mine, and some spots need quest progress. A stock of limestone skips the travel and the pickaxe time. That means more bricks for Construction, more signs of respite, and quest items ready when you need them.
