Description

Magical thread is a rune-infused item in RuneScape 3. It is used to weave magical cloth for Runecrafting pouches. Players need it to craft the sealed small rune pouch, the sealed large rune pouch, the grasping rune pouch, and the expansive pouch.

You need a lot of thread for these pouches. A sealed small rune pouch takes 30 thread and level 55 Runecrafting. A sealed large rune pouch takes 100 thread and level 90 Runecrafting. Upgrading a sealed large rune pouch to a grasping rune pouch takes 15 more thread. The expansive pouch uses 100 thread.

Getting thread in the game takes time. It drops now and then while crafting runes through the Abyss. The chance goes up when you use more essence per run. The Wilderness sword can boost the chance too, up to 33.3 percent at the top tier. Even with the best boost and 102 essence per run, it takes about 4 Abyss runs on average to get 1 thread. Protean essence gives no chance at thread at all.
