Description

Marrentill incense sticks are a members-only item in RuneScape 3. They cut poison damage when you light them. Each potency level lowers poison damage by 12.5%. The buff can reach potency level 4, which cuts poison damage by 50%.

You need level 9 Firemaking to make and use these sticks. When you light one, the buff starts at potency level 1 and lasts ten minutes. The potency goes up by one level every ten minutes. You can light more sticks to add time, up to sixty minutes. You can also overload by using six sticks at once. This jumps the buff straight to level 4, but it only lasts ten minutes. The effect stays if you die, and the timer stops while you are logged out.

Marrentill sticks stack with irit incense sticks, and the two effects multiply together for even less poison damage. This makes marrentill sticks a smart pick for fights and areas where poison is a threat.

The sticks are tradeable and stackable, so they take up little space. They weigh nothing. Keep a supply ready and take less poison damage in your next fight.
