Description
The Marrentill seed is a Farming seed in RuneScape 3. Plant it in a herb patch to grow grimy marrentill herbs. You need level 14 Farming to plant it.
Each patch takes one seed. The plant grows in 80 minutes, moving through four stages of 20 minutes each. Herb plants do not need watering, so they grow on their own. Planting gives 13.5 Farming XP, and each herb you pick gives 15 XP.
Every plant gives at least 3 herbs. You can get more by using better compost. Supercompost gives a minimum of 5 herbs per patch. The crop farmer and master farmer outfits also give a small chance to save a harvest life.
This seed is a members only item. It is tradeable, stackable, and weighs nothing. If you die outside a dangerous area, the seed is always kept. It can also be disassembled for Invention, giving Organic parts most of the time and Living components on rare occasions.
Marrentill seeds are a cheap way to train early Farming and to grow herbs for low level Herblore potions.
