Masterwork monochromatic dragon leather is a key material for making masterwork ranged armour in RuneScape 3. It is a members only item that you can trade and note. It weighs 1 kg and is always kept on death.

You need 20 of these leathers to craft a full set of masterwork ranged armour. The body takes 10, the chaps take 5, the cowl takes 3, and the boots and vambraces take 1 each. Crafting the armour requires level 110 Crafting and the achievement called It Should Have Been Called Chinskin. The leather can also repair partially degraded masterwork ranged armour.

Each leather is made from 1 dinosaur leather, 1 masterwork thread, and 8 each of black, royal, and undead dragon leather. Making one takes 300 seconds and needs level 110 Crafting. Buying the leather ready made skips this long process and saves a lot of time.

Crafting the armour with these leathers gives big Crafting XP. The body alone awards 13,200 XP, and a full set uses all 20 leathers. This makes the leather a smart pick for players who want top ranged gear or fast Crafting gains.
