Description
Dinosaur leather is a members-only Crafting material in RuneScape 3. It is a prepared dinosaur hide. Players use it to make dinosaurhide armour, one of the game's high-level ranged armour sets.
The leather comes from dinosaur hides. You can tan a hide into leather for 25 coins at a tanner, or use the Make Leather spell at level 83 Magic. Tanners live in Al Kharid, the Ranging Guild, Varrock, Taverley, Canifis, the Ithell district of Prifddinas, and the Crafting Guild.
With a needle and thread, dinosaur leather turns into gear at level 93 Crafting. It makes the dinosaurhide body, chaps, boots, gloves, and cowl. Each piece also needs dinosaur scales. The body takes 5 leather, the chaps take 3, and the other pieces take 2 each. At level 110 Crafting, one leather is also used to make masterwork monochromatic dragon leather.
Dinosaur leather is tradeable, noteable, and can be disassembled. Disassembly gives Simple parts most of the time and Living components on rare occasions. It cannot be worn and does not stack. Stocking up on this leather is a fast way to work toward strong dinosaurhide armour without long hours of hunting.
