Description

The Mind Shield is a tier 5 magic shield in RuneScape 3. It goes in the shield slot and gives 30 armour, plus a 0.5% damage reduction against monsters. Its defence bonus is higher than the elemental shield, so it is a solid step up for low level magic gear.

This shield has a handy use in combat. It gives partial protection against the breath attacks of wyverns and skeletal wyverns. That makes it a smart pick when fighting these monsters.

The Mind Shield also looks cool when you put it on. An orange circle bursts from the centre and spreads out fast, like a wave rushing to the edge of the shield.

Players normally make this shield by smithing a mind bar at the workbench in the Elemental Workshop. That path needs level 30 Smithing and progress in the Elemental Workshop II quest. Buying the shield lets you skip that work.

The Mind Shield is a members only item. It is tradeable, equipable, and noteable. It can also be disassembled for Invention, and it always gives 2 Harnessed components. It is light too, weighing only 0.226 kg.
