Description

Monkfish are a members-only food in RuneScape 3. Each monkfish heals 1,600 life points when eaten. This makes them a solid choice for combat, bossing, and long training trips. Players stock up on monkfish because they give good healing at a fair cost.

Monkfish come from the Piscatoris Fishing Colony. Players need level 62 Fishing to catch them there with a small fishing net, and the Swan Song quest must be done first. Raw monkfish can also be caught at the Deep Sea Fishing hub at level 68 Fishing. Cooking raw monkfish takes level 62 Cooking and gives 150 experience per fish when it works. Players stop burning them on a range at level 90, or level 87 with cooking gauntlets.

Monkfish have other uses too. At level 65 Divination, a monkfish and 45 vibrant energy can be woven into a portent of restoration VII, which heals 1,200 life points. At level 67, the attuned version heals 1,600. Raw monkfish can also be disassembled for Organic parts and other components.

Buying monkfish saves time on fishing and cooking. Players can skip the grind and get right back to training or fighting.
