Raw monkfish is a members-only fish in RuneScape 3. It is an uncooked fish that can be cooked into monkfish, a popular food that heals 1,600 life points. This makes it a solid pick for players who want good healing food or fast Cooking training.

Cooking raw monkfish needs level 62 Cooking and gives 150 experience for each success. On a range, players stop burning them at level 90, or level 87 with cooking gauntlets. At level 90 with gauntlets, cooking monkfish gives about 140,000 experience per hour. That makes raw monkfish one of the best ways to train Cooking at mid to high levels.

Raw monkfish also works with the Divination skill. At level 65, members can weave 45 vibrant energy with one monkfish to make a portent of restoration VII, which heals 1,200 life points. At level 67, they can make an attuned version that heals 1,600 life points.
