Mort myre fungus is a mushroom from the Mort Myre Swamp in Morytania in RuneScape 3. Players want it most as a secondary ingredient for super energy potions. At level 52 Herblore, you can mix one fungus with an avantoe potion (unf) to make a Super energy (3) potion and earn 117.5 Herblore experience per potion.
The fungus has other uses too. You can put it in a druid pouch, which makes ghasts visible so you can attack them. Each fungus counts as one harvest in the pouch. It also works as food for zygomites at the player-owned farm and for the Broav pet. It is even used in the While Guthix Sleeps quest.
Gathering this fungus yourself takes work. You need to finish the Nature Spirit quest, cast bloom near dead logs with a blessed silver sickle or Ivandis flail, and spend prayer points on every cast. The fungus does not even grow every time you cast the spell.
