Description

The mutated vine is a stackable and tradeable item in RuneScape 3. It is a strong, rope-like vine that comes from the Jadinko Lair on Karamja. Players cut it from mutated jade roots near the Jadinko Queen. These roots look blue instead of the normal green. Cutting one needs level 83 Woodcutting and gives 140 Woodcutting experience plus favour points.

Mutated vines also drop from jadinkos in the lair. Mutated jadinko babies drop 1 to 2, guards drop 2 to 6, and males drop 6 to 10 every kill.

The vine matters most for Fletching. With level 87 Fletching, players combine one mutated vine with two excrescence to make a bolas for 50 experience. With level 83 Fletching, five mutated vines and five sagaie shafts make five sagaie for 200 experience. Both weapons have extra attack bonuses against mutated jadinkos, so they are great for Slayer tasks in the lair.

The mutated vine weighs nothing, so it is easy to carry in bulk. Along with the whip vine, it is one of the only unfinished items from the Jadinko Lair that can be traded to other players.
