Description

Oak planks are training items for the Construction skill in RuneScape 3. They are the second tier of furniture materials, one step up from normal planks. Each oak plank gives 60 experience when you use it to build furniture.

Oak planks are a top pick for fast Construction training. Many players build and remove oak larders, which need 8 planks each, or oak dungeon doors, which need 10 planks each. With a butler or Demon butler bringing planks to you, you can gain over 300,000 Construction experience per hour.

These planks have more uses too. You can make furniture or flatpacks, complete Construction Contracts, or build at Fort Forinthry. They can also be turned into Refined Oak planks. You can store them in a plank box and use them straight from it while training.

Oak planks are also needed for some quests. Cold War needs 10, TokTz-Ket-Dill needs 14, and Love Story needs 2. Making planks yourself takes trips to a sawmill and 250 coins per plank, so having a ready stack saves time and effort. With a big supply of oak planks, you can train Construction without any breaks.
