Description

Olive oil (4) is a members item in RuneScape 3. It holds four doses of olive oil in one vial. Players use it in the Shades of Mort'ton minigame in Morytania.

The main use for olive oil is making sacred oil. Sacred oil is needed to prepare pyre logs, which are used to burn shade remains. To make sacred oil, players first help restore the Temple of Mort'ton, found north-east of the town. Once the temple is rebuilt, they light the altar in the center and use the olive oil on the fire. This turns the olive oil into sacred oil.

Making sacred oil uses sanctity. Each 4 dose olive oil takes 3.6% sanctity to sanctify, and players need at least 10% sanctity to do it. Sanctity is earned by rebuilding the temple or killing shades.

This item is tradeable and noteable, and it weighs very little at 0.02 kg. It can also be disassembled for Simple parts or Variable components. Olive oil comes in 1, 2, 3, and 4 dose versions, and the 4 dose version gives the most oil per vial. It was added to the game on 18 October 2004.
