Description

The Orange salamander is a two-handed Ranged weapon in RuneScape 3. It is the third strongest salamander weapon in the game. You need level 50 Ranged to wield it. It uses Marrentill tar as ammunition and attacks with the Bolts style at a range of 7 squares. As a tier 50 weapon, it deals 637.5 to 720 ability damage with 850 accuracy.

Orange salamanders start out as Hunter creatures. Catching one needs level 47 Hunter and gives 204 Hunter experience. Players catch them with a net trap made from a small fishing net and a rope. Marrentill tar works as bait. They live in the Uzer Hunter area in the Kharidian Desert, east and south of Shantay Pass, and they do not fight back when caught.

The weapon weighs 4 kg and is tradeable, equipable, and noteable. It can also be disassembled as a two-handed crossbow item. Disassembly gives 15 experience and 12 materials, which can include Connector parts, Crafted parts, Tensile parts, Stunning components, and Dextrous components. This is a members only item, and it is a solid pick for mid-level Ranged training.
