Description
The Pernix armour set is a Grand Exchange item set for RuneScape 3. It contains five pieces: the Pernix cowl, body, chaps, gloves, and boots. The set is a members-only item and it is tradeable.
Pernix is tier 80 Ranged power armour. You need 80 Defence and 80 Constitution to wear it. It is the Ranged counterpart to Torva armour for Melee and Virtus armour for Magic. The pieces normally drop from Nex, the boss of the Ancient Prison, so this set saves you the grind of boss kills.
Wearing any piece of Pernix makes most monsters in the God Wars Dungeon unaggressive, except bosses and the Ancient Prison. The armour degrades as you fight and lasts 60,000 charges of combat before it needs repair. You can break the armour down at the dragon forge into ranged praesulic essence, which is used to make elite sirenic armour.
The boxed set can be exchanged back into its five separate pieces at a Grand Exchange clerk. Each piece also unlocks a matching legacy cosmetic override when equipped. This set is a strong pick for players who want top ranged gear for bossing and high level combat.
