Description
Primal abyssal armour spikes are a strong consumable item in RuneScape 3. They are primal armour spikes that have been upgraded with abyssal flesh. Carry them in your backpack or ammo slot while wearing melee gear. They will deal damage to enemies that attack you from a tile next to you or with a melee attack.
These spikes also apply the Abyssal Parasite effect, which is a melee bleed. Each damaging hit from the spikes adds one stack of parasites. Each stack deals 18.74 to 31.24 bleed damage, up to 50 stacks. Every stack hits the target 5 times over 9 seconds. If the target dies while bleeding, the effect spreads to enemies in a 5x5 area around it with half the stacks. This spread does not work in PvP. Unlike other bleeds, many players can attack the same target without resetting the damage.
Making these spikes needs level 100 Smithing. Combining 10 abyssal flesh with 100 primal armour spikes creates 100 primal abyssal armour spikes. The item is members only, tradeable, stackable, and weighs nothing. It is a great pick for slayer tasks and melee combat where enemies crowd around you.
