The primal crossbow is a powerful ranged weapon in RuneScape 3. It needs level 99 Ranged to wield. It is a tier 99 weapon with tier 85 combat stats. It fires bolts and has an attack range of 7. Its base stats are 816 ability damage and 2178 accuracy.
Players can make this crossbow with level 103 Fletching by stringing an unstrung primal crossbow with a crossbow string. This gives 45 Fletching experience.
The crossbow can be upgraded five times with eternal magic logs. The full path to Mk. 5 uses 63 logs and gives 65,235 Fletching experience. The Mk. 5 version has stronger tier 90 combat stats. The Mk. 1 through Mk. 4 versions cannot be equipped.
The Mk. 5 crossbow can also be turned into a martial version at a fletching workbench. This uses up the crossbow but gives extra experience. The full upgrade path from base to martial gives 98,835 total Fletching experience.
The primal crossbow is a members only item. It was released on 9 December 2024. It is a strong pick for high level rangers and a great source of Fletching experience.
