Description

Raw chicken is an uncooked food item in RuneScape 3. Players can cook it on a fire or a range with just level 1 Cooking. Cooking it gives 30 experience points and makes a cooked chicken. Players with low Cooking levels may burn it. At level 34 Cooking, players stop burning raw chickens for good.

Raw chicken is also used in the Summoning skill. One raw chicken is a needed ingredient to make a dreadfowl pouch, along with 8 spirit shards and a gold charm. Making the pouch gives 9.3 experience. This is the best way to train Summoning below level 10.

Raw chicken matters in quests too. In Recipe for Disaster, a raw chicken is needed to enter the lair of the evil chicken, where players can also fight Black dragons and Baby black dragons. In Eadgar's Ruse, players need 5 raw chickens to build a fake man that tricks the trolls.

This item is great for training Cooking, working on Summoning, or getting quest items ready. It weighs 0.17 kg and has been in the game since January 2001.
