Raw lobster is a fish in RuneScape 3. It is a great pick for training the Cooking skill. You need level 40 Cooking to cook it. Cooking a raw lobster on a range gives 120 experience. Cooking it on a bonfire gives 132 experience.

You may burn some lobsters at lower levels. Burning stops at level 74 Cooking, or at level 64 with cooking gauntlets. The chance to burn one becomes rare at level 60. A burnt lobster gives no experience, so a big stack of raw lobsters helps you push past those levels fast.

Cooked lobsters are a solid food for both free-to-play and members. That makes raw lobsters useful to cook and keep for combat, quests, or skilling trips. You can also feed raw lobsters to a pet kitten.

Catching these fish yourself takes level 40 Fishing, a lobster pot, and a lot of time at Cage fishing spots. Fishing only gives about 30,000 to 40,000 experience per hour. Buying raw lobsters skips the slow catch and lets you train Cooking right away. The item is tradeable and works on free-to-play worlds.
