The lobster pot is a fishing tool in RuneScape 3. Players use it to catch raw lobsters at cage fishing spots. It is a free-to-play item, so any player can use it. The pot is added to the tool belt automatically, and it can also be stored there.
This item plays a part in the Dragon Slayer quest. The oracle tells players to use a lobster pot to open the door to the chest of Thalzar. That chest holds one of the three map pieces needed to finish the quest.
Lobster pots work at many fishing spots. These include Catherby, Musa Point, Rellekka, the Feldip Hills, and the Fishing Guild, which needs level 68 Fishing. Some spots have extra requirements, like quests or Archaeology levels.
The lobster pot is tradeable and noteable. It is not stackable and cannot be worn. It weighs 0.255 kg. It first came to the game on 11 June 2001. Lobsters are a popular food for training and combat, so this pot is a handy tool for players who want to fish them.
