Description
Red dragonhide is the rough, scaly hide dropped by red dragons in RuneScape 3. Every red dragon drops one when it dies. Other monsters can drop it too, like celestial dragons, the Giant Mole, and dinosaur creatures in Anachronia.
Players take the hide to a tanner to turn it into red dragon leather. Tanners are found in Al Kharid, Varrock, Taverley, Canifis, Prifddinas, the Ranging Guild, and the Crafting Guild. Members with a high enough Crafting level can then make red dragonhide armour from the leather. This is ranged armour that needs 55 Defence to wear. Unlike the blue dragonhide body, the red body does not need the Dragon Slayer quest.
Red dragonhide is tradeable and noteable, but it does not stack. It can also be disassembled for parts, mostly Simple parts with a small chance of Living components. Free players can get the hide from red dragons, but they cannot tan it, craft it, or wear the armour on free worlds.
Red dragonhide is a solid pick for players training Crafting or making their own ranged gear.
