Refined Elder planks are a Construction material in RuneScape 3. They are made at the sawmill in Fort Forinthry, the one next to Bill. You need level 90 Construction and must finish the New Foundations quest to use the sawmill. Each set takes 4 Elder planks to make and gives 138 Construction experience.
These planks are used to build Elder frames. One Elder frame needs 3 Refined Elder planks and level 90 Construction. Making a frame gives 621 experience. This makes Refined Elder planks a strong choice for players who want fast Construction training at high levels.
Refined Elder planks are a members only item. They are tradeable and noteable, but they do not stack. Each set weighs 0.8 kg. They can also be disassembled for 2.7 experience, giving Simple parts most of the time and Variable components on rare occasions, with no junk chance at level 90.
Buying Refined Elder planks saves time at the sawmill. Instead of processing 4 Elder planks for each set, players can skip straight to building Elder frames and gaining big Construction experience at Fort Forinthry.
