The ruby amulet is a free-to-play amulet in RuneScape 3. It is worn in the amulet slot and gives no combat bonuses on its own. Its real value comes from what you can turn it into. With the Lvl-3 Enchant spell, one cosmic rune, and five fire runes, it becomes an amulet of strength. Casting the spell needs level 49 Magic.
Players can also make the ruby amulet with level 50 Crafting. It takes a gold bar, a cut ruby, and an amulet mould at a furnace, and it gives 85 Crafting experience. The unstrung amulet must be strung with a ball of wool or the String Jewellery spell before it can be worn or enchanted. Stringing gives 4 more Crafting experience.
The ruby amulet is tradeable, noteable, and very light at 0.007 kg. It can also be disassembled. It counts as Jewellery, gives 15 disassembly XP, and can yield delicate parts, connector parts, smooth parts, precious components, and enhancing components. This makes it a handy item for Crafting training, Magic training, or Invention materials.
