Description
The Ball of wool is a Crafting item in RuneScape 3. It is spun from sheep's wool on a spinning wheel. Making one gives 2.5 Crafting experience and needs only level 1 Crafting.
Players use balls of wool to string amulets, which gives 4 Crafting experience. An amulet must be strung before it can be worn. Balls of wool can also string unblessed holy and unholy symbols. At a loom, two balls of wool make a strip of cloth. Strips of cloth are used to make wizard equipment and are needed in several quests.
Balls of wool are also needed to weave milestone capes at a loom. Each cape needs one ball of wool per ten levels, from one for the level 10 cape up to nine for the level 90 cape. A ball of wool can even be used to play with a pet cat, and it is not used up.
This item is tradeable and noteable, and it is available to free-to-play players. It appears in quests too, such as Sheep Shearer, where Fred the farmer asks for 20 balls of wool.
