Description

Ruby bolts (e) are enchanted crossbow bolts in RuneScape 3. They are adamant bolts tipped with ruby bolt tips and enchanted with the level 49 Magic spell Enchant Crossbow Bolt (Ruby). They are tier 60 bolts and need level 60 Ranged to use. This item is for members only.

These bolts have a special effect called Blood Forfeit. Each hit has a 5% chance to trigger it. When it fires, the bolt deals extra damage based on the target's current life points. The player also takes a small hit to their own life points as a cost. This makes the bolts strong against targets with high health, such as bosses.

The trigger chance can go higher. It rises with the Ranged cape perk and with the elite Seers' Village achievements. Abilities that hit more than once, like Rapid Fire, can trigger the effect on each hit. Multi-target abilities like Ricochet can trigger it on each target.
