Description
The rune pickaxe is a level 50 pickaxe in RuneScape 3. You need level 50 Mining to use it. It is a free to play item, so any player can own it. It deals 25 to 75 mining damage with 75 penetration, which helps you break rocks faster and gain Mining XP.
This pickaxe is tradeable, lendable, and can be noted. It weighs almost nothing at 0.01 kg, and you can store it on your tool belt to save space in your inventory.
Players with level 50 Smithing can make it at a forge and anvil with 2 rune bars. It can also be upgraded. Adding more rune bars turns it into a rune pickaxe +1, +2, or +3, with the +3 version dealing 28 to 78 mining damage. All upgrade tiers still need only level 50 Mining.
If you collect the full golden mining suit, the liquid gold nymph can gild this pickaxe. The gilded version looks different but works the same. The rune pickaxe is a solid pick for mid-level miners who want strong mining power without members access.
