These platelegs are tank armour. They give 204.1 armour and 795 life points. That is a solid step up from normal rune platelegs, which give 187 armour. The extra armour and life points help you take less damage in melee combat.
Rune platelegs + 3 are made with the Smithing skill. Upgrading from + 2 takes 12 rune bars and gives 2,880 Smithing experience. They can also be turned into rune burial platelegs for more experience, or broken down with Invention for parts like cover parts, plated parts, and deflecting parts.
The platelegs are tradeable, lendable, and noteable. They weigh only 0.06 kg, so they are easy to carry. High alchemy turns them into 12,000 coins. This is a strong pick for players training combat or Slayer who want cheap, sturdy leg armour without members content.
