Description

The RS3 Sardine is one of the first foods a player can cook in RuneScape 3. It needs only level 1 Cooking. Each cooked sardine heals 200 life points, so it works well as cheap food for new players and early training.

Raw sardines come from bait fishing spots by the sea. Catching them needs level 5 Fishing and gives 20 Fishing experience per catch. Fishing spots are found in many places, such as Al Kharid, Draynor Village, Catherby, and Karamja. Cooking a raw sardine gives 40 Cooking experience, and burning stops at level 37, or level 34 with a Cook-o-matic.

Sardines have other uses too. In the quest Gertrude's Cat, a sardine rubbed with doogle leaves feeds a lost cat. With level 16 Divination, players can turn 3 raw sardines into 1 raw trout using flickering energy. Sardines can also be mixed with Pale energy to make a Portent of restoration I.

The RS3 Sardine is free to play, tradeable, and noteable. It is a simple item that helps with Cooking training, quests, and low level healing.
