Raw trout is a fish in RuneScape 3. Players catch it with fly fishing, which needs a fly fishing rod and feathers. You need level 20 Fishing to catch it, and each catch gives 50 Fishing experience. At level 30 Fishing, the same spots also give raw salmon.

Raw trout can be cooked into trout at level 15 Cooking. Cooking one on a range gives 70 experience, and a fire gives 77 experience. Players stop burning trout at level 49 Cooking on a range or level 50 on a fire. A cooked trout heals 7 hits when eaten. This makes raw trout a solid pick for training Cooking or stocking up on cheap food.

Raw trout has other uses too. It can be disassembled for materials like organic parts and crafted parts. With level 16 Divination and Flickering energy, it can be transmuted with other raw fish. At level 36 Divination, it can be transmuted up into raw tuna with Glowing energy.

Fishing spots for raw trout include Lumbridge, Barbarian Village, Tree Gnome Stronghold, Shilo Village, and near Baxtorian Falls. Buying raw trout saves time spent fishing and lets you train Cooking right away.
