Description

Sea turtle bait is a members item in RuneScape 3. Players use it at the Deep Sea Fishing hub. Scattering the bait in the deep sea attracts sea turtles to a magical fishing spot. You need a Fishing level of 79 to catch them.

One piece of bait lets you catch up to 50 raw sea turtles. After that, you need another piece to bring the turtles back. Extra catches from buffs like the shark outfit do not count against this limit, so those buffs make each piece of bait go further.

The bait is made by gutting 300 magnetic minnows. This only needs Cooking level 1 and gives 100 Cooking XP. The bait is tradeable and stackable, and it weighs nothing, so it takes up little space in your bank or inventory.

Sea turtle bait can also be disassembled. It gives 0.1 Disassembly XP with a 98.9% junk chance. It can produce Simple parts or, more rarely, Variable components. Buying sea turtle bait is a simple way to skip the minnow grind and start catching sea turtles right away.
