Description

Secateurs are a Farming tool in RuneScape 3. Players use them to cut sick branches and leaves from trees and bushes grown with the Farming skill. Cutting off the diseased parts cures the tree or bush so it can keep growing. This makes secateurs a must-have tool for any player training Farming.

Secateurs have other uses too. Players can use them on farmed willow trees to cut willow branches. Up to 6 branches can be cut at a time, and new ones grow back about every 10 minutes. In the Phoenix Lair, secateurs cut branches from special trees. These branches can be woven into a funeral pyre for the Phoenix.

Secateurs also play a part in the quest A Fairy Tale III - Battle at Ork's Rift. Players use a hammer on them to make a tooth extractor needed for the quest.

This tool is easy to keep on hand. It can be placed in the tool belt or stored with the tool leprechauns at farming patches. It weighs 0.453 kg. The examine text says it is good for pruning away diseased leaves.
