Description
The Shadow spike is a members-only item in RuneScape 3. It drops from Raksha, the Shadow Colossus, at a rate of about 1 in 325. Getting one from the boss can take many kills, so buying one saves a lot of time.
The Shadow spike upgrades three kinds of boots. You can attach it to laceration boots, blast diffusion boots, or fleeting boots. This turns them into enhanced laceration boots, enhanced blast diffusion boots, or enhanced fleeting boots. The upgrade raises the boots from tier 80 to tier 90. The boots keep their special effects after the upgrade. Once upgraded, the boots become untradeable for good.
Tier 90 boots give a strong power boost for high-level combat. Players who fight tough bosses want this upgrade to hit harder and stay safe.
Before you use it, the Shadow spike can be traded and noted. It can also be disassembled for Invention. It almost always gives simple parts, with a small chance of variable components. The junk chance is high at 98.9 percent, so most players save it for the boot upgrade instead.
