Description

Shears are a simple tool in RuneScape 3. Players use them to remove wool from sheep. The wool can then be spun into a ball of wool. Shears fit on the tool belt, so they do not need to take up space in the backpack.

Shears are tradeable and noteable, and they do not stack. They are light, with a weight of 0.113 kg. They are not equipable. This item is free to play, so members and free players can both use it. Shears were added to the game on 4 January 2001.

Players can find free sets of shears in a few spots. They respawn in Draynor Manor in the farthest room to the south-east, inside the Crafting Guild, on Eastfold Farm in Havenhythe, and in two places in Lumbridge. In Lumbridge, look in Fred the Farmer's house and within a fence near the Lumbridge Mill. Shears can also be taken from a tool store 1 in a player-owned house workshop.

Shears can be disassembled for Invention. They have a base junk chance of 98.9%. They give Simple parts with a 99% chance or Variable components with a 1% chance.
