Description
The Sign of Life is a pocket-slot item in RuneScape 3 that can save you from death. When you die with it equipped, the sign brings you back to life and heals you for 25% of your maximum life points. This makes it a great safety net for tough boss fights and dangerous areas.
The sign has a 1-hour cooldown after it activates. This cooldown is shared with the sign of death, the portent of life, the portent of death, and the Defence cape perk. The timer keeps running even while you are logged out. If you have War's Blessing 2 or better, the cooldown drops to 30 minutes.
When the sign revives you, your potion effects, prayers, and abilities like Incite stay active. Your adrenaline drops to 0% and buffs like Berserk end. If you buy the Death's support effect from Soul Reaper, the sign heals you for 50% of your maximum life points instead.
The sign does not work in PvP areas, except for Deathmatch. It also has limits in the Vorago fight. The sign is shaped like the symbol of Seren, the goddess of peace and growth.
