Spark chitin is a secondary Herblore ingredient in RuneScape 3. It comes from dinosaurs at the Ranch Out of Time. Brutish dinosaurs give 40 per harvest, Scimitops give 50, Asciatops give 65, and Malletops give 85. This item is members only, stackable, tradeable, and weighs nothing.

Spark chitin is used in some of the best high-level potions in the game. At level 93 Herblore, it helps make adrenaline crystals. At level 102, it goes into the charming potion. At level 111, it is needed for the powerburst of acceleration, which uses two spark chitin per potion. At level 117, it is part of the extreme prayer potion, one of the top prayer potions available.

Players who want to train Herblore past level 93 will need a good supply of spark chitin. Farming it takes time, since each dinosaur harvest only gives so much. Buying spark chitin lets players skip the grind and make their potions right away. It can also be disassembled, giving simple parts most of the time with a small chance of variable components.
