Description

The swamp toad is a small members-only creature in RuneScape 3 with legs that can be removed. Use the Remove-legs option in your backpack to get toad's legs. Do not worry about the toad. The legs grow back. Toad's legs are used in Gnome Cooking, and swamp toads are also needed to craft barker toad pouches.

Swamp toads spawn in the swamp at the Tree Gnome Stronghold and near the Fishing spot to the west of it. Players can also get them by pickpocketing gnomes, or from tortoises, fungal rodents, spirit implings, and corrupted dust devils. With level 78 Farming, a toad egg sac from reeds grown in a hops patch gives 15 swamp toads.

This item is tradeable, noteable, and disassemblable, and it weighs 0.5 kg. Note that this version of the swamp toad cannot be used to hunt chompy birds. Buying swamp toads saves time for players who need toad's legs for cooking or toads for Summoning pouches without hunting them down in the swamp.
