Description

Topaz bolts (e) are steel crossbow bolts tipped with enchanted red topaz. Players make them by casting Enchant Crossbow Bolt (Red Topaz) on regular red topaz bolts. This spell needs level 29 Magic and enchants 10 bolts at a time.

These bolts carry the Down to Earth effect. When it triggers, it lowers the target's Magic level by 1. This effect only works on other players, so these bolts are a good pick for player versus player fights. Dropping an enemy's Magic can weaken their spells and give you an edge.

Each bolt has a Ranged Strength bonus of +66. All other attack and defence bonuses are 0, so the bolt adds pure ranged power to your crossbow shots.

Players who have finished the Hard Kandarin Diary get a 10% boost to the chance of the enchanted bolt effect firing. This bonus is always active and does not depend on wearing any headgear.
