The Fortune Squirrel is a Legendary pet in Grow a Garden. It came out with the Chubby Chipmunk Nutty Fever Event on October 4, 2025. It is one of six pets from that update.

This pet looks like the normal Squirrel, but it is made of gold. Its body, legs, and thick tail are golden with orange-gold bumps. It is the fourth squirrel pet in the game, after the Squirrel, the Space Squirrel, and the Red Squirrel.

The Fortune Squirrel has a strong ability. Every 7 minutes, it has a 17% chance to apply the Jackpot Mutation to a plant in your garden. This matters a lot. The Jackpot Mutation is normally part of an admin-only event, so this pet is the only reliable way to get it.

The Fortune Squirrel cannot come from an egg or the Nutty Chest. In the event, players had to raise a Chubby Chipmunk in their garden until it hit 46.43 kg. Then the pet could be claimed from the Unclaimed Rewards sign near the center of the island. That makes this pet rare and hard to earn on your own.
