The Adamant axe is a woodcutting tool in Old School RuneScape. You need level 31 Woodcutting to use it. It works from your inventory, so you do not have to wield it to cut trees. If you want to equip it as a weapon, you need level 30 Attack.

This axe cuts logs much faster than lower tier axes. It is about three times better than a bronze axe and 20 percent better than a mithril axe. That makes it a strong pick for players who want to level Woodcutting faster before they can use a rune axe.

The Adamant axe can also fight. It gives +17 Slash, +15 Crush, and a +19 strength bonus. It swings once every 3 seconds. You can also combine it with a felling axe handle to make an Adamant felling axe if you have level 31 Woodcutting and level 5 Smithing.

The axe is free to play, tradeable, and can be noted. Players can make one with level 71 Smithing and one adamant bar. It is a solid mid-level axe for skilling and a handy backup weapon.
