Description
The Ancient rune armour set (lg) is a melee armour set in Old School RuneScape. It is linked to the god Zaros. The set comes packed as one item, so it takes up only one bank space instead of four. This is very handy for free-to-play players with small banks.
The set contains four pieces. You get the Ancient full helm, Ancient platebody, Ancient platelegs, and Ancient kiteshield. You need 40 Defence to wear the pieces. The armour has the same stats as Rune armour, but each piece adds a +1 prayer bonus. The full set gives +4 prayer in total.
The full set has strong defence bonuses. It gives 207 stab, 209 slash, 192 crush, and 205 ranged defence. The magic defence is -12. It also has -65 magic and -31 ranged attack bonuses, so it fits melee combat best.
The set item is tradeable on the Grand Exchange and can be noted. It cannot be equipped or stacked. The pieces normally come from hard Treasure Trails and cannot be made with Smithing, so the set is a nice pick for players who want the look and prayer bonus without doing clue scrolls.
