Description
Arctic pyre logs are a members-only item in Old School RuneScape. They are Arctic pine logs treated with two doses of sacred oil. Players use them in the Shades of Mort'ton minigame to cremate the remains of Loar, Phrin, and Riyl Shades.
Lighting these logs requires level 47 Firemaking. Cremating a shade with them grants 158.5 Firemaking experience and 33.9 Prayer experience. With the Morytania Diary 4 complete, the Firemaking reward rises to 237 experience.
To use them, place the logs and a set of shade remains on one of the funeral pyres south and west of Mort'ton's centre. Then light the pyre with a tinderbox. This frees the shade and gives Firemaking and Prayer experience, plus coins or a key. The key type depends only on the remains burned, not the logs.
These logs need only two doses of sacred oil, one less than other logs that can cremate Riyl shades. This saves sanctity for players training in Mort'ton. Arctic pyre logs are tradeable and noteable, and they weigh 1.36 kg. They are a smart pick for players who want fast Firemaking and Prayer gains in the minigame.
