Description

Sacred oil(2) is a vial with 2 doses of sacred oil in Old School RuneScape. Sacred oil is blessed olive oil. Its only use is to make pyre logs. Pyre logs let you cremate shade remains in the Shades of Mort'ton minigame. This item is for members only.

To make pyre logs, add sacred oil to normal logs. Each dose of oil gives 5 Firemaking experience. Different logs need different amounts of oil. Low-end logs need 2 doses, so this vial covers one set. Mid-tier logs need 3 doses, and high-end logs need 4 doses.

You can also make sacred oil yourself. Use vials of olive oil on the fire altar in the Shades of Mort'ton minigame. The temple must be fully repaired and the altar must be lit. Converting oil costs sanctity points, and you need at least 10% sanctity to do it. Buying the oil ready-made skips that work.

You must finish the Shades of Mort'ton quest before you can use sacred oil to make pyre logs. The Grand Exchange buy limit is 2,000 every 4 hours, and the high alch value is 45 gp.
